THE LEMAY CAR COLLECTION IS THE LARGEST CAR COLLECTION IN THE COUNTRY. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL IMPRESSIVE DISPLAY. THIS IS THE ONE DAY A YEAR BOTH THE MUSEUM AND THE LEMAY RESIDENCE IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WE ARE PLANNING TO GO UP FOR TWO NIGHTS LEAVING FRIDAY AFTERNOON  AUG 29,  WE HAVE THE SAME BEST WESTERN HOTEL RESERVED AS WE DID FIVE YEARS AGO. THE COST FOR THE HOTEL IS $139.00 PER NIGHT THE COST OF THE TOUR IS $10 PER PERSON.  IF WE DRIVE OUR CLASSIC CARS WE CAN ARRANGE TO DISPLAY THEM ON THE MUSEUM GROUNDS. IT IS SUGGESTED TO BE THERE EARLY SINCE THEY EXPECT 10 TO 15 THOUSAND PEOPLE TO GO THROUGH, THIS IS THE REASON FOR GOING UP FRIDAY. THE MUSEUM HAS ASKED IF ANY OF US WOULD LIKE TO DONATE 2 HOURS OF OUR TIME AS VOLUNTEER’S.  IT REQUIRES A 2 HOUR COMMITMENT WHICH USUALLY CONSIST OF STANDING AROUND A SPECIFIC AREA, MAKING SURE EVEYONE IS BEHAVING THEMSELVES.  FOR VOLUNTEERING WE WOULD GET FREE ADMISSION TO THE MUSEUM, ACCESS TO A SEPARATE RESERVED PARKING LOT AND A SPECIALLY DESIGNED T-SHIRT.
